For progressives, a 2mm difference in fitting height means the entire near-vision clear zone shifts up or down by that much. When he looked down at his screen, his line of sight landed on the transition zone instead of the near zone — so even though the prescription was correct, he kept having to hunt for the right angle to look through, and got noticeably more tired by afternoon.
