Can I bring any frame at all?
All are welcome — we proceed once an optometrist has assessed the frame's condition
New frames bought online
Shopee, personal shoppers, overseas brands — bring in a new frame bought online and we can fit lenses to it. We still take the full set of measurements, so the lenses line up with your eyes rather than merely being slotted into the frame.
Designer and handmade frames
Designer and handmade frames such as Lindberg and ic! berlin are an adjustment and repair specialty of ours, and we handle plenty of rimless and screw-heavy constructions. We assess the structure before any disassembly, and treat every good frame with care.
New lenses in an old frame
Prescription changed, lenses scratched, but you can't bear to give up a frame you're used to? If the frame's condition allows, we can replace the lenses only — and straighten out a frame that has warped while we're at it.
Second-hand and vintage frames
Vintage frames need the most care — how far the material has aged varies enormously. We assess honestly, take on what can be done, and don't take chances for the sake of it.

An optometrist inspects the frame's material, structure and degree of ageing, and judges whether it is suitable for disassembly and edging.
An honest account of the risks
There is a risk of damage during disassembly and edging, particularly for frames that are years old or whose material has grown brittle. Where the risk is higher we explain it clearly first, and only start production once you understand and agree to accept that risk. If the assessment says a frame isn't suitable, we will tell you straight that we advise against it.
Full vision exam and measurements
The same standard as a complete pair: the full exam, plus pupillary distance, fitting height, vertex distance and frame-fit measurements.
Choosing lenses · a transparent quote
As a contracted ZEISS dealer and a HOYA dealer, we walk through the options against your needs and budget. The cost is the lens price plus a fixed fitting fee — a clear quote with no surcharge.
Production · collection · free in-store adjustments
Once finished you try them on in store to confirm the fit, and you are welcome back any time afterwards if the frame shifts out of position.
Whether a customer-supplied frame can be worked on is determined by the in-store assessment; the actual cost (lens price plus a fixed fitting fee) is quoted and explained before production, and production begins only after the risk of damage has been explained and consent obtained.

Q1. Can I bring a frame I bought online and have lenses fitted?
Yes. A new frame bought online, a designer frame, an old frame you have worn for years, a second-hand or vintage frame — all are welcome. An optometrist first inspects the frame's condition and material and confirms the work can be done before we proceed. That step is there to protect your frame, not to turn you away.
Q2. How is a bring-your-own-frame lens job priced?
The cost is the lens price plus a fixed fitting fee. Lenses are priced according to the brand and tier you choose (we are a contracted ZEISS dealer and a HOYA dealer); the fitting fee is a fixed amount, and you can get a quote in store or over LINE. We do not add a surcharge simply because the frame wasn't bought here.
Q3. Is there any risk in re-lensing an old or older-generation frame?
There is. Frame materials age and become brittle over time, and there is a risk of damage during removal and refitting. Our approach: the optometrist assesses the frame's condition first, tells you honestly when the risk is higher, and only proceeds once you understand and accept that risk. If the assessment says the frame isn't suitable, we will say so directly and advise against pushing it, rather than risk damaging your frame.
Q4. If I only need lenses, do you still do the full exam?
Yes. The standard is identical whether the frame is yours or chosen in store: the full vision exam plus the dispensing measurements (pupillary distance, fitting height, vertex distance, frame fit) — nothing is skipped. Whether the lenses turn out right depends largely on the measurements, and that is precisely the most important part of a lenses-only job.
